"Cast A FLy, CATCH A STUDENT"

Fly Fishing Curriculum
"Cast A Fly, Catch A Student" (CAFCAS) ultizes fly fishing as the instructional method to teach youth how to fish. It was created by a team of educators from the original School of FlyFishing and three high school teachers in Washington state - a Science, Languge Arts and Physical Education teacher (a SHAPE National PE Teacher of the Year.) The "Cast A Fly, Catch A Student" curriculum meets SHAPE National academic standards in Science, Language Arts, Physical Education and Technology. The CAFCAS program is a complete "turnkey" curriculum package - everything an educator needs to teach youth how to fish is in one easy to use and manage kit. CAFCAS Curriculum Outcome Objectives

The cost of the CAFCAS Program Fee (Curriculum Kit shipping not included) . . . $3500.00 * Not included when rods are supplied with accompanying individual cases.
** NEW in 2012, for Freestanding Round CasTarget style, in both Bullseye & Waterscene formats, used with a CasTarget X Stand Frame for standardized floor mounting.
*** Teacher training/certification provided in advance of program installation via Personal Training or NFSP CAST Online Course is $50/teacher. These fees are included for 1-2 teachers in a school's initial program fee.

Spincasting Curriculum
"Cast A Lure, Catch A Student" (CALCAS) ultizes spincasting as the instructional method to teach youth how to fish. It was created by a team from Nebraska - a PHD Professor in Physical Education Pedagogy, PE Admistrator, two University of Nebraska angling professors and the co-founders of "Fishing in Schools."

The "Cast A Lure, Catch A Student" curriculum meets SHAPE National academic standards and some standards in Science, Languge Arts, Physical Education and Technology.

Like the CAFCAS program, CALCAS provides a complete curriculum package - everything an educator needs to teach youth how to fish is in one easy to use and manage kit. CALCAS Curriculum Outcome Objectives
