What's "Fishing in Schools" About?

The National Fishing in Schools Program (also called "Fishing in Schools") gives you the chance to learn real fishing skills right in class at your school. You’ll practice casting, learn about fish: how they behave, how to catch 'em and how to release 'em. Discover how to enjoy the outdoors safely while gaining knowledge and skills about the healthy and positive lifetime activity of fishing. Most students love it so much that 65% keep fishing after the course! and 83% plan to go again within a year! The program is hands on, fun, and designed for everyone—no special gear or experience needed. It’s a great way to build confidence, try something new, and enjoy time outside with friends and family. When you complete your course, you'll get a chance to get your own fishing rod, lures, accessories, etc., at special "Fishing in Schools" savings.
