SURVEY REQUIREMENTS FOR NFSP PARTICIPATING SCHOOLS
Surveys are conducted once or twice per year and are sent via email to the teacher.
Typical "Student Post-Program Fishing Survey": "We hope you enjoyed the Fishing in Schools program that you recently completed in school. We would like to know what you thought about fishing. Please answer the following questions as honestly as you can. Don’t worry, this is NOT a test! You do not need to put your name anywhere on this survey. No one will know how you answered the questions." Typical "Teacher Pre-Program Survey": "As an educator who will be teaching or participating in the Fishing in Schools program soon, we would just like to know a little about your background with fishing and your predictions for the program (based only on what you know so far). We would greatly appreciate you taking a few minutes to answer the following questions." Typical "Teacher Post-Program Survey": "We are excited to learn about your experience teaching or participating in the Fishing in Schools program with your students. We would greatly appreciate you taking a few minutes to answer the following questions."
